An unstoppable force on the national music scene, emerging artist and drummer, Sarah Thawer, will present a program featuring her own compositions and improvisations incorporating North and South Indian solkattu/bols (speaking rhythm) into modern music. Thawer also experiments with electronics, and improvisation in different contexts, such as jazz, hiphop, and music from around the world.
