UNBECOMING

UNBECOMING

A fusion of humour, fashion, and classical music, Danika Lorèn’s “UNBECOMING” is a bold celebration of queer selfhood and artistic play. Singing their own compositions in garments of their own creation, they lead the audience through three vivid chapters: First Fig, a deconstruction of patriarchal femininity, Tell Everyone, a coming-out and resurrection of queer history, and SEX LoV 123, a shameless sexual awakening wrapped in a ribbon of absurdity. With each shift in tone and fabric, Lorèn, pianist Stéphane Mayer and special guest, Guy Few, reimagine classical art song as a space for transformation, defiance, and joy.
