Named after the Spanish violinist, conductor and composer Enrique Fernández Arbós (1863-1939), the Trio Arbós has established itself as one of Spain's leading chamber ensembles. The Trio Arbós appears frequently in major concert halls and festivals in Britain (Ryedale Festival), Austria (Wiener Konzerthaus), Italy (Nuova Consonanza Festival, RomaEuropa Festival, and ContemporaneaMente Festival of Lodi), Argentina (Colón Theater), Cuba (International Festival of Camagüey), Russia (Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory), and Finland (Sibelius Academy Concert Hall, and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival). The Trio Arbós is the ensemble in residence at the Motril Summer Music Course (Granada). They have also taught chamber music masterclasses at Bowling Green University (U.S.A.), and at the National Youth Symphony of Spain. The Trio Arbós has recorded a CD on the German label COL LEGNO (WWE 1CD 20064) dedicated to the music of the Spanish composer Luis de Pablo, and the complete piano trios by Joaquín Turina for NAXOS.
